"The Fighting Family Saga", part 7 - Author: David
Dad's mother had tried to talk to the two families, to make them not fight. She told my aunt that she was all for the fight with her neighbor. However, Dad now said the fight was for his family. His sister and her husband had hurt his wife and son, without even giving us a chance to defend ourselves. When Gramma asked why the girls had to fight, he said his daughters want to get back at those that hurt their brother and mother.
The day came for the fight. It was going to place at my grandparent's summer cabin. Gramma came to stay with me. I hugged my sister and mom and dad and told them good luck. Becca said they wouldn't need it, but I knew they would.
My family left for the cabin. The rules were very simple. The teenagers would fight first, no rules, losers decide when they had enough. When one girl won her fight, she could not help her sister. When the girls had fought, then the adults would fight. Again no rules. The winner decides when the fight was over, and there was double teaming allowed.
When my family got to the cabin, my aunt and uncle and my twin cousins were standing around. There was no talking as my family got out of the car, and went and stood in a group. Mom and Dad told, Lea and Becca to think what had happen to me. That this fight was only about revenge. Dad said at his sister and her husband, and said, "Are your girls ready?"
It was my aunt who answered, "they're looking forward to beating your brats up, my darling brother!"
Mom and Dad hugged each of my sister and then Mom said, "All right girls, fight!"
My cousins were named Sammy and Tammy and were 16 years with brown hair. They were average height and weight. Lea and Becca walked up to the twins and just started throwing punches. The twins were shocked by this and didn't defend themselves. Within seconds Becca had Sammy on her back and was sitting on her and raining punches on her pretty face. Blood was coming from the sixteen year old's nose and lips. Lea in the meantime had Tammy back up against the cabin and was throwing fists into Tammy's stomach and breasts.
"Ok enough. Stop it!" Uncle Matt yelled.
Mom smiled and said, "The twins have to give up."
As one both girls said, "I quit! I quit!"
My sisters hugged each other and came over to Mom and Dad. Dad looked at his sister and brother-in-law and said' "You ready?"
Matt snarled, "Yes, you bastard! Jill and I are not going to be that easy."
Mom walked to center of the yard, laughing Aunt Jill walked up to Mom as dad and Uncle Matt squared off. Suddenly Mom and Aunt Jill were slapping each other whereas Dad and Uncle Matt were punching each other. Mom got Aunt Jill down by pulling her hair, but in doing so her face became red from the slaps Aunt Jill got Mom with. However Mom didn't let that stop her as she jumped on Aunt Jill and the two women rolled around on the grass. Dad had maneuver Uncle Matt so that his back was to the two rolling women. My father timed it perfectly so that when the women rolled into him Dad punched him, knocking him to the ground. As the two women kept rolling pulling hair and by ripping their tops, Dad pulled Uncle Matt up by his hair and threw two punches at his face, stunning him.
Next Dad went over and picked up Aunt Jill who was on top of Mom and slapping my mother, and put her in a full nelson.
"Here you go, Joanne." He said with glee.
Mom got to her feet and started punching my Aunt in her stomach. Mom's torn top would not let her wind up and hit Aunt Jill, so she pulled her top off and stood there in her bra and slacks. However she couldn't punch her helpless sister-in-law as that was the exact moment that Uncle Matt tackled Mom to the ground.
Aunt Jill used the reprieve to bring her leg up getting Dad in his groin.
"You always were trying to peek at me, dear brother." Aunt Jill said to my father as he held his groin. "Well, get a good look." She screamed as took her blouse off, to stand in front of her brother in her bra and slacks. She then slapped Dad. Dad slapped her back.
As that was happening, Uncle Matt and Mom had rolled around until Mom had got on top of Uncle Matt. She started kneeing him in his crotch area until he covered himself and rolled away. Mom turned her attention to Aunt Jill by going and grabbing her hair and putting her in a side headlock. She then started punching Aunt Jill. Dad had gone to his opponent and motioned him to get up and fight. Aunt Jill was beginning to throw punches into Mom's back, causing Mom to break the headlock.
Uncle Matt got to his feet, a mistake, because Dad starting pounding him. Soon, Uncle Matt was bleeding from his nose and mouth and one eye was closing. Flat on his back he gave up to my father. Dad turned his attention to the wives. Aunt Jill and Mom were in a clinch but trying to throw punches with a free hand. Dad started over but Mom stopped him.
"No honey, I want this fight to be between her and me."
Dad went over to tree and stood there, watching his wife and sister break their clinch and beginning to throw haymakers at each other. Aunt Jill began backing up until she was against the cabin. My aunt turned her back to Mom who just began punching aunt Jill in the kidney area.
Suddenly Dad heard a squeal. He looked over and saw that the twins had grabbed my sisters by the hair and was pulling back on it. My sisters turned around causing the twins to release their hair. When the four girls were facing each other, they all grabbed hair. My sisters pulled their cousins' heads down and then began pounding them in their backs. Quickly the girls gave up and ran into the cabin.
Dad turned his attention back to the wives. Mom had turned Aunt Jill around so she was facing Mom, and Mom was just pounding her face. Aunt Jill slumped to the ground, where Mom gave her a couple of kicks.
My family had won. They came home where we celebrated their victory.
It took two years and my grandmother's death to bring the families together.
The next fight my family had two months, didn't start out that way. A neighborhood kid bet me that his Mom could beat our Mom up. Mom was not happy that I had accepted the bet and refused to fight the other mother. This lead to some name calling with the other kid and his mother calling Mom a chicken. Finally Mom accepted. The mothers were going to fight in front of their families. Dad and I and Lea would see the fight with her husband, son and daughter. Becca would be away. It started out as a mother's catfight, but soon erupted into a family vs family brawl.
